We enjoy a rich history of caring support
Quality, Caring Senior Home Care
Asbury Home Services provides senior care services and conveniences that were first created for our residents in Asbury’s Continuing Care Retirement Communities in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Oklahoma. Starting in 2012, we began bringing these best-in-class services into the homes of older adults in our surrounding communities to help them live an independent lifestyle.
Asbury Home Services is the result of a long tradition of service to older adults. Asbury began in 1926 as a home for the indigent aged located on a former dairy farm in Gaithersburg, Maryland. In 1994, the Board of Directors of Asbury Methodist Village established Asbury Communities, Inc., and the Asbury Foundation, Inc., to help expand its mission. In 1996, Asbury Solomons was created, followed by Bethany Village in 1999, Springhill in 2001 and Inverness Village in 2003. In 2015, Calvert County Nursing Center joined the Asbury system of communities. In 2016, Asbury acquired Asbury Place, located in Maryville and Kingsport, Tennessee.
In 2012, Asbury introduced Asbury Home Services to deliver quality home and community based services outside its retirement communities.
Today, Asbury is the nation’s 17th-largest system of not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Communities. All eight Asbury Continuing Care Retirement Communities are nationally accredited, offering residential living, assisted living, skilled care and memory support. As a whole, Asbury serves more than 4,300 residents and employs 3,000 in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Oklahoma.
